Phoenix Drug Cultivation Lawyer

In Arizona, it is a felony offense to cultivate or produce any amount of marijuana. Drug cultivation refers to the process of growing, nurturing or tending to marijuana or cannabis. Although some would consider marijuana to be one of the less dangerous drugs, possessing, using or cultivating any amount of cannabis or marijuana is a felony punishable by 6 months to 7 years in prison, depending upon the particular case and any aggravating factors.

If you have been accused of or are under investigation for drug cultivation, do not hesitate to contact Suzuki Law Offices. We represent clients throughout Phoenix, Maricopa County and the surrounding areas in Arizona and are standing by to see how we can help you. As a former state and federal prosecutor, Phoenix drug cultivation lawyer Richard Suzuki has the experience and knowledge to accurately assess your legal matter and determine how he can best assist you.

Arizona Drug Cultivation Penalties

  • Cultivation of 2 to less than 4 pounds of marijuana - class 4 felony, punishable by 1 ½ years to 3 years in prison
  • Cultivation of 4 pounds or more of marijuana - class 3 felony, punishable by 2 ½ years to 7 years in prison

Marijuana Cultivation Defense in Arizona

There may be physical evidence that law enforcement has collected against you - plants, seedlings or seeds. Law enforcement may have found watering and lighting systems that would indicate marijuana cultivation was occurring. But if this evidence was unlawfully discovered, collected or processed, it may be that your attorney can have it suppressed so it is not used as direct evidence against you in court. This is just one example of how a skilled drug crime lawyer may be able to use the legal system in your favor. It takes experience and resources, however, and that is precisely what Suzuki Law Offices is able to provide.

If you are facing charges for allegedly producing marijuana, contact Phoenix marijuana cultivation attorney Richard Suzuki today.
